In
2003 Roman was arranger and guitarist with Mohamed Mounir and Herbert von
Goisern on a European tour. He also formed the Madih ensemble with
Egyptian musician and musicologist Issam El-Mallah, singer Sheikh Arabi
Farag and the kawala virtuoso Ahmed Arnab, performing the woks of
avant-garde and classical composers.
Madih recorded the composition "Sufi Modem" by choir-director
and
conductor Rupert Huber live, along with the choir of the Norddeutsche
Rundfunk in Hamburg.
In cooperation with the European Music Project, Madih performed at the
Festival für Neue Musik in Ulm, presenting works of the composer Jürgen
Grözinger
(„Orient-Okzident“) and Klaus Huber („Die Erde bewegt
sich auf den Hörnern
eines Stiers“). Roman's latest project
is with the trio "Orientacion" together with the
argentinian guitarist and composer Luis Borda and the cellist Jost Hecker.
In summer 2004 ENJA released their CD "Orientacion". |
